Lynda Fletcher

Lynda Fletcher

Lynda Fletcher is an author of romantic fiction.

She admits to being a hopeless romantic at heart (her favourite book is Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice'). Her laptop was filling up with ideas, drafts and outlines of her own, and her friends encouraged her to reach out and get published.

Attending a networking event organised by the Bournemouth Literary Festival, recognising there is a market for short romantic fiction, Lynda worked on developing her writing skills, taking advantage of the free advice, guidance and resources offered to members of Badman.

Consequently, her first story - 'An American Rose in England' - was published in 2026 on Kindle, quickly followed by 'The Scent of Jasmine'. She has now converted nine of her drafts into published books and one omnibus. (Follow the links below to learn more)

Lynda likes cooking and gardening, so it is no surprise that these feature strongly in her writing.

Daniel Cavanaugh

Daniel Cavanaugh

I started my working life working in my Father's Chelsea pub, as well as in pubs in and around Chelsea and Knightsbridge in London, whilst I studied for College and later, University.

Although I've written a number of technical text-books, how-to and study guides and manuals for Colleges and Universities, my love was in blogging and content creation for business and other authors.

I have met so many interesting people over the years with colourful stories that, to be honest, left me unconvinced as to whether they were genuine, distorted over the number of times being told, or simply a wind-up.

The Wheezy Geezers is my first fiction book, refreshing after many years of technical writing. The title? It came about as I was laughing, coughing and wheezing with my friend, suffering badly from hay fever, in an old English pub, trying to share our stories with each other. The other customers kept laughing at us trying to keep a straight face and catch our breath at the same time.

Adrienne Nairn

Adrienne Nairn

Adrienne Nairn grew up in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. She emigrated to South Africa in 1969 moving on to Australia and New Zealand, where she met and married her husband.

Working in numerous professions as a secretary, Adrienne is now retired, living in Taupo, New Zealand. Family circumstances led her to write her autobiography, highlighting the elder abuse which happened in her family. She uncovered what she believed to be criminal activities, but her encounters with the law and social services were not happy, and she became disillusioned with justice.

“My Brother My Enemy” reached No 2 in the amazon best sellers list in its genre, but Adrienne has now relaunched the book, adding The Final Chapter. She has written a novel, The Inheritance Thief, based on the injustice she feels people suffer and the helplessness victims encounter. She is now working on a screenplay. Adrienne donates generously to charities in the UK and New Zealand and has volunteered for numerous organisations. She was a medallist in the Kiwi Bank New Zealander of the Year Local Heroes Awards. Adrienne has a daughter and two grandsons living in Sydney.

Bryony Petersen

Bryony Petersen

I am now a published writer!

I think I have always yearned to write. My mother gave me a book she discovered somewhere within my childhood home. It is dog-eared, with some of the page corners turned over. It is the kind of book school teachers refer to as an ‘exercise’ book, with self-ruled pages, to write or take notes.

The cover displays every animal, haphazardly arranged for artistic effect. Inside, my childish hand had ‘ruled’ red ink lines. It had a ‘contents’ index, arranged in categories. It served as a personal recipe book. I think I was eight or nine. Even then, I longed to create, and the book combined two loves – English and cooking.

Years later, a University Lecturer told me I couldn’t write. She meant from the perspective of putting across logical arguments to support contextual answers on tested subjects. The flippant comment stung my ever-lower confidence.

I really hope you enjoy reading the fruits of my creativity, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
